Rowling's The Harry Potter Series

J. K. Rowling's The Harry Potter Series was both popular and controversial. The series was popular among children, in particular and adults,in general. But, some orthodox people denounced the series as anti-religious because of its magical setting. They accused it of promoting black-magic.

I read the series as a child when it first got published and as an adult, when

it sadly (as it got finished) and wonderfully (as the ending was amazing) ended. As a child, I was thrilled by the magical world of the series. And as an adult, I took refuge in this world from the realities of life. But, I knew that this magical world is a reflection of real world.

From moral point of view, the series is a story of the conflict between good and evil. And from political point of view, it is a story of the conflict between powerless and powerful. Rowling's series carries all these meanings and more under the cover of a magical world for children.

So, I think that The Harry Potter Series, by J. K. Rowling, represents our world on its pages by creating a fantastical world.
